In October of 2010 Erin visited her high school friend Katie at Carthage College. It was there she met Katie’s friend Chris. After several years of friendship and college graduations, they were both living in the Chicago area and decided to move from friendship to dating. During their relationship, they started going on a yearly camping trip at Illinois Beach State Park, north of Chicago. One of these camping trips was on their 5 year anniversary, and it was during this trip that Chris proposed and Erin said yes!
The proposal was on a beautiful night under the stars at Illinois Beach State Park.
Went on our "first date" in downtown Evanston, and the rest is history!

We love children but our wedding will be adults only.
The Ravenswood and Andersonville neighborhoods offer a lot of great restaurants and breweries. We reccomend Replay and Begyle Brewing. For our out of town guests we recommend the Chicago Architecture River Tour, Millenium Park, The Second City, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the 606. Feel free to ask us for any suggestions!
The venue partners with a nearby school (Hayt Elementary school at W Thome and N Greenview) We recommend taking Uber or Lyft, which is only about a 5 or 15 min ride from our hotels.
The reception will be cocktail style with heavy hors d'oeuvres and small bites - but plenty of food for everyone! There won’t be assigned seating, so we encourage our guests to mix, mingle, and take in our historic venue before dancing begins.
